William James College Trustee Andrea Sodano
Andrea Sodano, PhD, an active member of the William James College Board of Trustees for the last three years, has put the school she labels as "superb" into her long-range estate plans. Her strategy was to make a "significant" bequest without touching any of her current assets or jeopardizing her retirement plans.
"Nick Covino has managed to build a wonderful place that is more than a school. It has an important impact on the mental health world. With an emphasis on the needs of veterans, children and families, and the Latino community, he has assured a deep and meaningful impact on people's lives," says Sodano. Given the quality of Covino's leadership, the faculty and staff he has attracted, and the vision and breadth of the school's programming, she is confident William James College will continue to grow.
Sodano, who holds a PhD in both Clinical and Organizational Psychology, has spent most of her career in the business world. A former executive at IBM, she now serves on two boards and is a faculty member in the Health Sector Management Program at the School of Management at Boston University.
"I absolutely urge people to put William James College in their wills." Sodano still plans, of course, to continue to give an Annual Gift, donate her lakeside house to the Gala auction, and buy tickets to events. "But that's all in addition to including William James College in my estate plans," she says. "It's a great way to support William James College from a future perspective."
